Gabion cage is a cage structure made of angular mesh (usually hexagonal mesh) woven with metal wires, also known as gabion cage or stone cage. This cage is usually made of low-carbon steel wire or PVC-coated steel wire with high corrosion resistance, high strength and ductility through mechanical weaving. After being filled with stones or other suitable granular materials at the construction site, the gabion cage can form a flexible, permeable and integrated structure, which is widely used in river bank protection, slope protection and revetment engineering, retaining wall and other engineering projects.
Galvanized Gabion Mesh, also known as Galvanized Gabion Mesh, is a new type of environmentally friendly ecological green grid structure. It is widely used in water conservancy projects, slope protection, riverbed management and maintenance. It is easy to use and can form a flexible, permeable and integrated structure after being filled with stones at the construction site.
Material:
Zinc, high-quality low-carbon steel wire (the diameter of the steel wire is 2.0MM-4.0MM, the tensile strength of the steel wire is not less than 380Mpa, the surface of the steel wire is hot-dip galvanized for protection, the thickness of the galvanized protective layer is made according to customer requirements, and the maximum galvanizing amount can reach 300g/m2.)
Process:
Galvanized Gabion mesh is made of hexagonal twisted wire. The process is as follows: raw material selection (high-quality low-carbon steel wire) - cold drawing/galvanizing/plastic coating - machine weaving - manual cutting and assembly - product inspection - packaging and transportation
Based on the different galvanizing processing methods in the production of gabion mesh: galvanized gabion mesh has cold galvanized gabion mesh and hot galvanized gabion mesh.
Cold galvanized gabion mesh: also known as electro-galvanized gabion mesh, generally treated by electrolytic equipment, the current unidirectional in the electroplating tank gradually coats the metal surface with zinc, so that the steel wire absorbs zinc, and a galvanized protective layer is formed on the surface of the steel wire. Generally, the electro-galvanizing treatment has a maximum zinc amount of 10g/m2, a uniform coating, and a thin thickness, usually only 3-15 microns, with a bright, smooth, and beautiful appearance, but slightly less corrosion resistance.
Hot-dip galvanizing: also known as hot-dip galvanized gabion mesh. Chemical process treatment is used to pickle, phosphate, wire draw, and then galvanize (hot-dip or cold-dip) various high-quality medium-carbon steels or high-quality high-carbon steels, and the cycle is repeated. A firm galvanized protective layer is formed on the surface of the steel wire. The hot-dip galvanized coating is thicker, generally 30-60 microns, and the coating has a higher corrosion resistance.
Product Advantages:
(1) Economical. Just put the stones into the cage and seal it.
(2) Simple construction, no special technology required.
(3) Strong ability to resist natural damage, corrosion and adverse weather conditions.
(4) Can withstand large-scale deformation without collapse.
(5) The silt between the gaps between the cage stones is conducive to plant production and can be integrated with the surrounding natural environment.
(6) It has good permeability and can prevent damage caused by hydrostatics. It is conducive to the stability of hillsides and beaches.
(7) Save transportation costs. It can be folded for transportation and assembled on site.
(8) Good flexibility: no structural joints, and the overall structure is ductile.
