Shandong Province Innovation Driven Development Conference International Geocomposite Materials Think Tank Forum was held in Tai'an

Yuan Shenqing, member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice Chairman of the Provincial Association for Science and Technology, Zhang Ying, member of the Standing Committee of the Tai'an Municipal Party Committee, Secretary-General, and head of the city's high-performance fiber and composite material industry chain, attended the event and delivered a speech. Li Huamin, deputy director of the Standing Committee of the Tai'an Municipal People's Congress and deputy head of the city's high-performance fiber and composite material industry chain, hosted the event. Sun Guangwen, director of the Planning and Finance Department of the Provincial Association for Science and Technology, Han Wei, director of the Provincial Innovation Strategy Research Institute, Dong Lei, secretary of the Party Leadership Group and chairman of the Tai'an Association for Science and Technology, and Zhang Jinping, secretary of the Party Committee and director of the Municipal State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, attended the event.

In his speech, Zhang Ying pointed out that the high-performance fiber and composite material industry chain, as one of the 13 key industrial chains in our city, involves five major fields: glass fiber, carbon fiber, ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fiber, geosynthetics, and advanced textile materials. There are more than 80 enterprises above designated size, including Taishan Fiberglass and Luther New Materials. In the first three quarters of this year, the industry chain achieved operating income of 11.9 billion yuan and tax revenue of 520 million yuan, making outstanding contributions to the high-quality development of Tai'an. I sincerely hope that all experts will "diagnose and pass on knowledge and treasures" for the development of Tai'an. Tai'an will work with all parties with the greatest sincerity, the best environment and the best service to share development opportunities and seek the future of the industry.

Yuan Shenqing delivered a speech on behalf of the Provincial Science and Technology Association. He pointed out that this forum brought together well-known experts in the field of geocomposites. He hoped that everyone would speak actively, fully discuss, seek development, make wise remarks, offer pragmatic strategies, actively promote the transformation of think tank research results, promote the development of geocomposites industry, and promote the high-quality development of regional economy.

This forum was hosted by Shandong Association for Science and Technology and Dazhong Daily Group (Dazhong Daily), and undertaken by Shandong University of Science and Technology and Tai'an Association for Science and Technology. It aims to gather high-end wisdom through the think tank forum platform, and carry out academic discussions and exchanges on the latest technologies, methods and educational concepts of geocomposites at home and abroad, so as to achieve a virtuous cycle of "science and technology-industry-talent-think tank", help innovation-driven development, and form a batch of high-quality industrial development consulting suggestions.

At the forum, experts and scholars from Iran and China and representatives of leading enterprises in the geocomposites industry in Tai'an City made special reports respectively, and in-depth discussions and exchanges on the frontier scientific and technological progress and development trends in the field of geocomposites, and actively made suggestions on the high-quality development of the composite materials industry.
